
Enugu State Governor. Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, yesterday ordered a task force to be constituted to assist the Enugu State Waste Management Authority (ESWAMA) get rid of waste that is beginning to grow on dump locations in the city.
The Governor expressed disappointment with the management of the agency and promised to effect radical changes should the they continue to fail in their duties to keep the city clean.
Addressing the Executive Council Meeting yesterday, the governor reiterated his resolve that Enugu must continue to be squeaky clean and asked ESWAMA management to live up to the task or risk being disbanded.
The State Executive Council also voted to resurface the entrance to the Ogbete Main Market which is beginning to constitute an eye-sore.
“This is a beautiful town and all those entrusted with responsibility to keep it so must do their jobs,” the governor said with obvious annoyance.
